Tour of Southwell Minster
Take a 45-minute tour of Southwell Minster with one of the Minster's friendly and knowledgeable guides. The tour will also take in the newly reopened Chapter House which has been closed for over a year whilst undergoing significant conservation work (thanks to a £2.2m National Lottery Heritage Funded project). Booking is essential and tours are limited to a maximum of 10 people, so please book early to avoid disappointment. We would encourage visitors to wear a face mask where possible.…

An evening of jazz with Matt Anderson – saxophonist and Dankworth Prize-winning composer – brings his quartet to Inspire libraries, featuring original tunes influenced by his Yorkshire roots, Scandinavian jazz, and the blues/country strains of Bill Frisell. ‘1914-1918 Pals and Poets’ is a multi-media commemoration of the First World War in film, live music and poetry. The lives of three ‘ordinary’ soldiers are celebrated through the poetry of their descendants, interspersed with poems and brief biographies of four more famous writers, Philip Larkin and three contemporary soldier-poets; Siegfried Sassoon, Edward Thomas and David Jones. Volunteers needed for tree planting in Southwell! If you'd like to volunteer then please click on the links below to book a place. Nottinghamshire Tree Planters are working in partnership with Southwell Town Council to strengthen the wildlife corridor in Froggatt’s Field and also in the Minster Field, alongside Squire's Pond, Southwell.
