Southwell is very much my home. I went to school locally, learnt to swim at the leisure centre and I attended both Sunday school and Girl Guides here. I have very fond memories of walking and cycling around the area, whilst growing up. I spent 10 years working locally, as a social worker looking after some of the most vulnerable members of our society. I have brought my own family up here and appreciated the local community, its facilities and services on offer. I now see my role as very much 'paying back' in helping others and working closely with colleagues to maintain and improve the uniqueness of our area for all residents.
