​We are delighted to announce that after such a difficult 2020 and the disappointment of cancelling so many events and fundraising opportunities, that the Newark Dragon Boat Festival is back for 2021. Fundraising for Beaumond House Hospice Care & The Children’s Bereavement Centre. Everyone welcome – fun for all of the family! The race takes part over one day and each team will take part in a minimum of 3 races before the fastest team goes through to the semi-final.…

The dynamic duo from Yorkshire Return to The HopBarn. Plumhall’s debut album Thundercloud was voted one of The Guardian and Observer's Hidden Gems, and Michelle and Nick are winners of the Yorkshire Gig Guide Outstanding Songwriters award, as well as International Song Competition semi-finalists. Edgelarks began their musical journey together living in a small caravan in the hills near Exmouth, Devon, UK. They followed in the footsteps of the ancient troubadour tradition, picking up tunes, songs and stories along the way. Spotted busking on the seafront at Sidmouth Folk Festival by champion of independent music Steve Knightley, they soon found themselves touring nationally, supporting the likes of Show of Hands and Seth Lakeman, and eventually winning the prestigious Best Duo award at the 2014…

 This free lunchtime concert will feature Hannah Cresswell (flute) & Constance Chow (piano). Refreshments will not be available. Admission to these lunchtime concerts is free, although contributions to a retiring collection will be invited. Proceeds will go towards the Minster’s organ scholarship.
