Reach Learning Disability (‘Reach’) started life as Southwell Care Project in 1999. The charity was set up by local parents worried about what the future held for their son or daughter with a learning disability as they reached adulthood. Today we support over 250 adults a week from our five centres: Reach Southwell, Flower Pod Southwell, Reach Newark, Flower Pod Newark and Reach Mansfield. Each centre offers diverse courses, socials and projects to enable adults with learning disabilities and their families to achieve a better quality of life. We also provide one-to-one care support to adults with learning disabilities in the community via our domiciliary care company (rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission). As a charity we need to fundraise to continue much of our impactful work.
