With over 41,000 cadets (aged 12-18) and 9,500 adults the Army Cadet Force is one of the UK’s biggest and best voluntary youth organisations. Joining the Army Cadets helps young people (and adult volunteers) to become more independent, confident and able to step up to any challenge.
Cadets of all abilities and backgrounds are welcome and are given a wide range of fun, exciting and adventurous opportunities.
The training programme gives young people a head start by helping them to develop valuable team working and leadership skills. They are also given access to recognised vocational qualifications from the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Scheme to BTEC First Diplomas.
Located at The Drill Hall, Newark Road, Southwell, the Cadet Force parades on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.
