SUMMARY:Ceramics in Southwell
DESCRIPTION:The fifth Ceramics in Southwell is on Sunday 29th August 2021 at The Market Square \n40 top potters\, primarily selected from the north and midlands but including ones from as far afield as Cumbria and Devon are really looking forward to coming again to our Market Square in Southwell. We are so lucky being one of the first ceramics fairs to take place this year and they are very keen to show us their latest creations! The variety of work available is always stunning. Domestic ware is always to the fore but sculptural pieces are there as well to fill that space in our houses. All types of ceramics will be there: earthenware\, stoneware and porcelain with many different types of clays and glazes\, and a variety of firing techniques. The potters are only too keen to discuss their work and if you buy a piece\, or even if you don’t\, be sure to ask them how it is made. This makes your purchase all the more interesting and precious – your own Great Pottery Throw Down (Channel 4)!!
