Church Street Closure for Flood Defence Work

Church Street Closure
From Monday 11th January 2021 until Friday 29th January 2021
Contractors working for both Nottinghamshire County Council & Severn Trent Water will be undertaking flood mitigation works at the bridge near to Harvey’s Field. Pedestrian access will be available.

Nottingham City Transport (Pathfinder) service 26  inbound journeys from Norwood Gardens turning circle towards Nottingham are to use the following alternative route:
Depart Norwood Gardens following the normal route along Lower Kirklington road as far as mini roundabout then follow the reverse of the outbound route via right The Ropewalk, right Queens Street/ Halam Road, left Allenby Road, left Westgate and right to revert to normal route on A612 Nottingham Road.
Note: all of the above route may be deemed to be a “Hail & ride” area for the duration of the diversion.

Stagecoach Services 28 & 29  Mansfield – Newark -Mansfield  (via Southwell) will divert as follows during the subject closure with exception of Saturday the 16th and 23rd January 2021 where Services will operate via normal route :-

Outbound Services to Newark
Will operate via normal route as far Market Place Southwell and will then divert via King Street onto Queen Street turning right onto The Ropewalk, Lower Kirklington  Road, Newark Road to the junction with Easthorpe and the turn left or right onto their respective routes.

Inbound Services to Mansfield
Will operate normal route to Easthorpe  Southwell and will then divert via Newark Road turning left onto the Burgage,  King Street onto the Market Place resuming normal route at this point.

The above diversions allow the centre of Southwell to served with the minimum of disruption for passengers.
