A community action group affiliated to the National Flood Forum. It was formed following the severe rainstorm which caused flooding of many properties in July 2013, some of which had also been flooded in 2007. It offers support, help and information on a range of issues related to flooding. It works with Southwell Town Council and other authorities and agencies to help manage the town’s flood risk. Alongside the Town Council, it supports the community to be prepared and resilient – see the Southwell Community Resilience Handbook, available in the library or online.
If you are interested in being involved in any way or need information, visit its website, www.southwellfloodforum.org.uk, or contact Jacky Huson on 01636 815739 or email info@southwellfloodforum.org.uk.
