Local town Councillor Roger Dobson is turning 70 this year, and to mark the milestone, he has undertaken to cycle 500km of the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela in Spain during September of this year, kindly offering to donate his sponsorship money to Time Travelling.
Time Travelling is an educational pilgrimage event at Southwell Minster, serving 7500 primary school children annually from across the region, enlisting the help of many volunteers from the Diocese and beyond. Time Travelling is totally dependent on finding £24k of its £35k annual budget from donations in order to subsidise places for the children, making the visit affordable, so we are extremely grateful to Roger for his endeavour. You can find out more about what Time Travelling is about by clicking the link to the website below.
To see a photo of Roger and to sponsor him, we invite you to click the link below to his just giving page, where you can sponsor him by using your credit card. Just Giving will collect your gift aid too, if you're eligible.
