Southwell Town Council is gearing up for an extra special lantern walk this year after receiving funding from RWEnpower at Staythorpe. This year we’ll be starting the Lantern walk at Southwell Minster and ending at the heartspace of The Minster School so they’ll be plenty of space for everyone to enjoy Christmas music and refreshments. The intention is to light up the War Memorial gates and the trees along the park. The Minster School is working in partnership with us and so is providing a workshop for pupils to make light structures to light up the Cross Site path to The Minster School. A request has gone out to community groups to make a light tepee to decorate the route. If you are involved in a community group and would like to make a light tepee for placing along the route of the Lantern Walk - please click on the link below to view instructions.
