From the team that brought the acclaimed The Polish Play to the rural touring circuit, comes another piece of rough edged, magical theatre made especially for village halls, suitable for families from age 7+. Part conversation, part slide show, part tea party this is a funny, affectionate and touching story of one man’s obsession with understanding how things go up in the air and the events that have shaped his life. Featuring an extraordinary accordion player, the odd home movie, and the 1981 Wimbledon men’s single final, this is a story about what makes us special, why things happen and the fundamental rules of rocket science … which are actually rather simple.

“An innovative play that mixes rocket science with humour and a moving story

for all the family”

“My wife thought it was one of the best plays she'd ever seen! I loved the

hilarious experiments and the father & son’s ‘chats’ on growing up, letting go,

the virtues of friendship etc. The nostalgic metaphor of learning to ride a bike was spot-on!

And the pie story truly memorable. Plus a clear starlit sky for the rocket launch!”

“Cutting edge, exciting, thought provoking theatre”
