You will remember that Southwell won the Best Kept Village in Nottinghamshire last year. The prize money of £1000 is being used to make sure we have a good chance of retaining this award this year! A new mower has been bought that will be used on the Park and Riverside and a drill that will come in very useful for repairing fences, gates and general maintenance.

We will be entering the competition again this year and judging is between Monday 7^th and Friday 24^th  June. The hanging baskets will go up early May and this always makes the town look splendid. If you have any ideas how to make the town look even better then do speak to your Councillors.
