A big congratulation and thank you to all residents! The Town Council entered Southwell for this year’s Best Kept Village competition in Nottinghamshire and won its category! The judging is not only for public places but also takes into account the general appearance of neighbourhoods including residents’ gardens.

This excellent result shows how our community really cares about the local environment, the high standards held by Southwellians and the degree of pride in which the town is held.

The Town Council groundsmen Paul and Steve, are also to be praised for their hard work in keeping the Parks, Burgage and other areas attractive and free of litter.

The £250 prize money will be used to further enhance the appearance of the town  - let us have your ideas as to how the money can be spent.
