There is the potential for Southwell to obtain up to £100,000 for 'Economic Regeneration' projects for the town.
These are projects which will make improvements to the appearance and public facilities in the town. The projects will aim to make the most of opportunities for the development of businesses and shops and will ensure that residents and visitors have a clean and attractive town centre. All residents and anyone with business (or potential business) interests are warmly welcomed to the meeting at The Saracens Head on Monday 19th February at 7.00pm Please come along with your ideas that you think could benefit Southwell and join in the discussions. More bed and breakfast accommodation is needed in and around the Town With the numerous events planned for this year we are finding that there is a shortage of Bed and Breakfast acommodation, particularly in Southwell itself. The Festivals in June will put a strain on the places available and we would like to keep as many visitors as possible in the town to patronise our shops, cafes and restaurants. Do you have a spare room not being used? Have your children now left home? Would you like to earn a little more cash for holidays? If the answer is 'Yes' to any of these questions, you could seriously consider setting up a Bed and Breakfast. it is easier than you think! Help and advice is available from people with many year's experience of running a B&B.
