The Town Council has asked the County Council to provide  new grit bins for various locations in town and  we are waiting to see which sites meet the County Council criteria. We have been given four already but have to wait for the sites to be assessed.  The Town Council bought two tons of grit which was put outside the council offices in December for residents to collect (as advertised in the Emergency Guide distributed to every household last October).
