Married with 3 adult children, 2 of whom live in Southwell with their families. Completed her many years of teaching as a deputy head in a large comprehensive school and went on to work as a Senior Contracts Officer with the Atomic Energy Authority.

Before moving to Southwell to be near family, served as a primary and secondary school governor for many years and was a Liberal Democrat District Councillor for eight years. Currently a Vice-President of the local Womens’ Institute and a helper at the ‘Live at Home’ lunch club.

Is an enthusiastic swimmer, walker, gardener and traveller. Particular interests on the Council are encouraging tourism and promoting retail vitality in Southwell.
